Our state-of-the-art, 40,000 sqft warehouse facility is approved by the National Medicine Regulatory Authority of Sri Lanka (NMRA) and conforms to international industry standards. The Facility is under 24/7 supervision by a Quality Assurance team including qualified pharmacists. Our integrated pharmaceutical warehousing services include cold storage and circulation of medicines, bulk pharmaceuticals, and medical equipment. Our facility which is in the process of being certified by the Sri Lanka Standards Institute is powered by a backup generator for catastrophic power failure to ensure uninterrupted functioning. There are two storage temperature zones; 2- 8C (cold storage) and below 25C, with a 24-hour temperature monitoring system to ensure comprehensive storage solutions.

The Authority regulates medicines, medical devices, borderline products, clinical trials, and cosmetics. The National Medicines Quality Assurance Laboratory (NMQAL), which functions under the purview of the NMRA is charged with ensuring quality of medical products.
Established in 2015 through an Act of Parliament, NMRA is an independent authority under the Ministry of Health. It is governed by a Board providing strategic leadership and counsel on the overall functioning of the authority and achieving the strategic objectives of the Government. The Board does not get involved in regulatory decision making which is the responsibility of the Chief Executive, working with regulatory and other staff and expert advisory committees.
The Authority places great importance on the transparency of its decision-making concerning the market authorization of medicinal products, the context within which such decisions are made, and the conduct of its expert committees as well as the organization’s staff. Sri Lanka provides free health care to every citizen, procuring over 1,500 pharmaceutical items and 3,000 medical devices through its procurement arms – The State Pharmaceuticals Corporation (SPC) and the Medical Supplies Division (MSD). The annual budget for medical supplies exceeds USD$200,000,000.
